Solve Clues

This page covers instructions on how to solve clues - both location based and image based.

Geo-location based Hunt

In this type of hunt, the clues are location based. You have to guess the clue, visit that location and verify your coordinates.

1. Click on the Start Hunt button to begin the hunt.

2. Make sure to allow location services access when invoked. If you are not prompted to do so, visit the Settings app of the phone to allow precise location access to the browser.

3. The generated clue will be visible. The clue number on the top right indicates the current clue and the total number of clues in the hunt.

4. Move to the guessed location as per the clue details and click on Verify Location. This will decrypt the clue answer and match it with the user's coordinate. The answer will be valid within a certain proximity limit.

   1. If the guess is correct, you will be redirected to the next clue automatically.

   2. If the guess is incorrect, you can retry upto 6 attempts in total.

5. Repeat the process until all clues are solved.

6. You can also check the Leaderboard by clicking on the chart icon on the top right of the Clue screen. Teams are ranked based on a score. Score = (Time in minutes) + (Attempts × 5). Lower scores rank higher after number of clues solved.

7. Once all the clues are solved, the users will be granted rewards based on the score for each team. Reward distribution is currently assumed to happen offline :)

Image based Hunt

In this type of hunt, the clues are image / picture based. You have to guess the clue, take a picture and upload to see if it matches.

1. Click on the Start Hunt button to begin the hunt.

2. The generated clue will be visible. The clue number on the top right indicates the current clue and the total number of clues in the hunt.

3. When you you see your desired object / sight, tap on Take a Picture. Allow access to camera when invoked.

4. Align the frame in the camera pop-up. Tap on Capture if satisfied or Cancel to dismiss.

5. Tap on Verify Image to verify this image against the answer image. This will decrypt the answer and match it against your guess. This can take a little time. You can also tap Retry if not satisfied with the image, before verification.

   1. If the guess is correct, you will be redirected to the next clue automatically.
